Illusion · Realm takes ‘gold’; China National Acrobatic Troupe collects its tenth ’Golden Chrysanthemum’

China Youth Daily app — (intern Liu Yuyan; China Youth Daily / cyol.com trainee reporter Li Danping; reporter Jiang Xiaobin) On 22 June the awards of the finals of the 12th "China Golden Chrysanthemum Award for Circus Arts — National Magic & Comedy Competition" were presented in Shenzhen. Illusion · Realm, the magic work entered by the China National Acrobatic Troupe under the Beijing Performance & Arts Group, won the Magic Act Award of the 12th "China Golden Chrysanthemum Award for Circus Arts — National Magic & Comedy Competition" — the 73rd gold on the troupe's medal roll.

Illusion · Realm takes as its creative purpose "working to carry on the Chinese cultural lineage and to promote the creative transformation and innovative development of China's fine traditional culture", and takes "time travel" and "cultural relics" as its creative starting points, seeking to embody the artistic character of Chinese culture.

Since 2000, when Shifting Shadows – Three Transformations, starring the magic artist Li Ning, entered the "Golden Chrysanthemum Award" competition and took gold, the China National Acrobatic Troupe has won the "Golden Chrysanthemum Award" ten times in all across the magic, acrobatics, full-length production and other categories of competition and adjudication at the China Golden Chrysanthemum Award for Circus Arts.
