Magic & Voice ‘Romantic Night’ magic special at the Dongtu Theatre

On 14 February, "Magic & Voice," a romantic night of magic created with great care by the China National Acrobatic Troupe, will be staged at the Dongtu Theatre in Beijing. The show is headlined by Hu Linglong and An Na, winners of the "Golden Chrysanthemum Award," the highest award in Chinese magic, together with the comedy master Wang Long, and will take the audience on a fantastical journey full of magical delight.

A large-scale magic and acrobatics gala bringing together grand illusion, comic magic, close-up magic and traditional Chinese magic, and deftly combining acrobatics, comedy, drama, dance and other artistic means with cross-disciplinary stage elements, "Magic & Voice" includes the magic acts "Magic Bird Show," "Body Illusion," "Terror of the Blade Fan," "Playing Cards," "Shadow Crossing," "Rings of Wonder," "Three Immortals Return to the Cave" and "Chinese Linking Rings," as well as the group acrobatic cycling act "Breaking the Wind," the acrobatic ball act "Bewilderment," the group diabolo act "The Charming Huadan," and the comedy acts "Plate Spinning" and "Hammering Nails" — a rich and varied programme. Through a well-paced running order, audiences enjoy layer upon layer of magical experience while being immersed in a world of the senses, travelling through time and space as though they were there themselves.

The show also includes a number of interactive segments, allowing audience members to become part of the performance, to feel abundant affection and sincere expression, and to seek the truth of a life of "love that endures."
