This Is Home | Ruxianguli: one flame of many peoples
Home is where culture begins. Since the reform and opening up, many new cultural phenomena have originated in Shenzhen: the city was among the first to put forward corporate culture, community culture, plaza culture, tourism culture and theme parks, and by combining economics with culture it worked out a model of creating outstanding cultural works through mechanisms for assembling talent, achieving good results.

In 1998, as Happy Valley Shenzhen was preparing to open, Ruxianguli was already well known in magic circles in Xinjiang and across the country, having won the "Golden Lion Award" presented by the Ministry of Culture.
Happy Valley Shenzhen planned to launch a magic gala when it opened, and so seconded Ruxianguli from the Xinjiang Acrobatic Troupe to Shenzhen to take part in planning and designing the show.
Ruxianguli felt this was a better platform on which to show herself and to grow, and she then came to Shenzhen to build her career in magic and put down roots here.
In 2000, the first China Golden Chrysanthemum Award National Magic Competition was held at Happy Valley Shenzhen. Ruxianguli's magic drama "Dreamland Divine Comedy" won the "Golden Chrysanthemum Award", the highest honour in Chinese circus arts, along with a special award presented by the Acrobats Association of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and from then on Ruxianguli entered the peak of her career in magic.
What belongs to a people belongs to the world. Through taking part in magic competitions and performances at home and abroad, Ruxianguli has shown the charm of Shenzhen to the world and helped Chinese culture go beyond China's borders and out into the world.
Ruxianguli believes that all 56 ethnic groups are present in Shenzhen, and that its diverse population has brought with it the cultures of every region and every ethnic group; these different cultures collide, blend and appreciate one another on this land, forming Shenzhen's diverse, inclusive, harmonious and open cultural character.
In Shenzhen, Ruxianguli has felt the love of brothers and sisters of every ethnic group, holding together as tightly as the seeds of a pomegranate.
Today Ruxianguli not only concentrates on training more outstanding successors for the magic profession, but also devotes more of her energy to advancing the development of Shenzhen's cultural undertakings.
Ruxianguli's answer is: "A place where the culture of a people can take root."
