World-class masters back the newcomers

The 1st Shenzhen (International) Youth Magic Exchange Conference — hosted by the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Publicity Department of the CPC Shenzhen Bao'an District Committee and the China Magic Culture and Creative Industry Base, and organized by the Shenzhen Acrobats Association, the Bao'an District Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Shenzhen Jieli World Culture Development Co., Ltd. — will be held from 16 to 18 December 2016 at the F518 Idea Land in Bao'an District, with the closing ceremony and awards gala on the evening of the 18th at the Xin'an Theatre in Bao'an District.
World-class magicians come to visit
The three-day 1st Shenzhen (International) Youth Magic Exchange Conference will feature an international magic props exhibition and trade fair, special performances by master magicians and an awards ceremony. World-class magicians from Japan, South Korea, Portugal, Hong Kong and Macao of China, Beijing and elsewhere will join magic professionals from across the country in exploring how to promote the sustainable development of the magic industry. Louis Yan, President of the Macao Magicians Association; FISM world champion Kenji Minemura (Japan); world magic champion Han Seolhee (South Korea); and Kim Min (South Korea), champion at the Blackpool Magic Convention in Britain, will give a series of lectures to popularize magic.
A World Magic Summit Forum will also be held during the conference. Among those attending will be Dai Wuqi, President of the Asian Magic Association and Vice-President of the China Acrobats Association; Li Ning, winner of the Golden Magic Wand at the Monte-Carlo International Magic Competition in Monaco and Vice-President of the Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles; Ruxianguli, Vice-Director of the China Magic Committee and Vice-President of the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles; Tan Yongquan, Secretary-General of the Asian Magic Association and an international judge at the FISM World Championships of Magic; Louis Yan, President of the Macao Magicians Association; and the international master magician David Sousa (Portugal).
The "Golden Magic Ring" competition
The youth magic exchange conference will hold the preliminary and final rounds of the "Golden Magic Ring" competition in a junior division and a youth division. Entrants came from 23 regions in 10 countries, with 90 acts submitted; in the end 13 stage magic competitors and 10 close-up magic competitors reached the finals, and gold, silver and bronze awards will be given in both the stage and the close-up categories. The judges are Dai Wuqi, Li Ning, Ruxianguli, Tan Yongquan, Louis Yan and Kenji Minemura, among others.
The Shenzhen Acrobats Association is an association under the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and since its founding it has operated on the principle of "marketizing acrobatics and industrializing the market". It now has more than ten member organizations working in acrobatics and magic training, performance, and the manufacture and development of acrobatics and magic props, including the Fuyong Acrobatic Troupe, the Happy Valley company, the Yate Art Troupe, the Xinkuan Magic Troupe and Shenzhen Jieli World Magic Supplies Co., Ltd. — private art troupes and companies well known at home and abroad. It has trained and supplied more than 500 outstanding acrobatics and magic professionals, successfully staged more than ten domestic and international acrobatics and magic festivals and competitions, and gives nearly 1,000 performances a year in the countryside; it has created more than 100 original branded acts and productions and won more than 100 awards at home and abroad, over 20 of them gold. Actively opening up international markets, it has given more than 350 international performances of its outstanding productions, its work reaching more than 50 countries and regions around the world.
